The first place we visited as a group was the train station. Me and my partner sat on a table directly next to the coffee shop. I decided to relate the mechanical sound of the coffee shop to a steam train. The whirr of the coffee machine was similar to that of a moving steam train. The mixture of the sounds of the coffee machine mixed with the vague sounds of the meaningless chatter (of people ordering) added to my concept; it sounded like passengers on a moving train. The combination of the people chattering and the fridge were both monotonous.

"Sense of Place"- First Session
Sound Recording
The first place we visited as a group was the train station. Me and my partner sat on a table directly next to the coffee shop. I decided to relate the mechanical sound of the coffee shop to a steam train. The whirr of the coffee machine was similar to that of a moving steam train. The mixture of the sounds of the coffee machine mixed with the vague sounds of the meaningless chatter (of people ordering) added to my concept; it sounded like passengers on a moving train. The combination of the people chattering and the fridge were both monotonous.
In addition, there was also a high-pitched screeching noise of the coffee machine working; which was almost impenetrable. This could relate to the sound of the steam-powered train-the whistle being blown.
