There's been some difficulties in initially finding a group. Unaware that we had to work with entirely different people, I was ready to work with the same people as I had with my documentary (Paul, Chris, Joe, Myles, Louise), however, I heard from someone on our course that we couldn't work with all the same people so I took the opportunity early on in the process to move into my flatmates Dom and Emily's group. Having worked on projects together I was really happy at the prospect of working with them, especially as we have similar creative styles.
Unfortunately, I didn't take the time to find out that we couldn't work with anyone from our previous documentary project, so whilst I was fine, the people in my group had all worked with each other on the documentary so once again I'm on the search for a group. I'm sure it will be fine, although feeling uncertain as to who I would prefer to work with and would have much preferred to work with people of a similar creative style. Nonetheless, I understand it's an important part of the course to learn that this is what it's like in the real industry, however, whilst I'm at university I would much prefer to work with people who I share similar interests and styles with and make the most of that.
After a couple of people asking if I wanted to work with them, I got an inbox from Olivier asking if I wanted to join and I've always been interested in working with him as I liked his previous films. Hopefully, things will work out. We have made a facebook group to communicate on.
